Technical Overview

11 Inches Wide, 4.5 Inches Tall. A Lamp Worker's Kiln That Doubles as a Small Fusing Kiln. If you're a lamp worker who needs a dedicated annealing kiln, or a small studio looking for a compact, plug-and-go kiln that can fuse and slump too, the AF3P 11/4.5 is built for you. Small items load through the 2" flip door on the front , larger items go in through the top. With 11" x 4.5" of interior space and 0.27 cubic feet of capacity, it's sized right for beads, marbles, small pendants, test tiles, and short fusing runs. What makes this kiln genuinely versatile is the included brick plug . When you don't need the flip door, slot the brick plug into the opening and you've converted your lamp working kiln into a full brick kiln, ready for fusing and slumping work. Two kilns in one footprint, no compromise on either job. It runs on standard 120V household power with a regular NEMA 5-15 plug, so there's no electrician visit, no special outlet, no studio rewiring. Plug it into the wall and fire. Maxes out at 1700°F , which covers annealing, full fuse, tack fuse, and slumping for the size of work this kiln handles. Included with every order Shelf and posts, kiln wash, brick plug, base brick (or optional metal stand), manual, and the Orton AF3P 3-button digital controller. Who Is This Kiln For? The AF3P 11/4.5 is a specialty kiln with a specific kind of artist in mind. Here's how to tell if that's you. ✓ Lamp workers and flameworkers who need reliable annealing The front flip door lets you garage beads and marbles straight off the torch without losing heat from the chamber. If you've been working without a dedicated annealer, this is the upgrade. ✓ Bead and small glass artists ready for their first kiln 120V plug-in operation means no electrician, no panel upgrade, no waiting.
