The glass mode gives the uniform top elements a blast of heat to evenly heat the glass on the shelf while some of the side coils are working to help bring the kiln to temperature.

Engaged in ceramic mode, this model reaches 2150°F.

Engaged in glass mode, this model reaches 1700 °F.

With a manual bypass (Inquire prior to ordering for further information) this model can reach 2300 °F.

A Solid State Relay is hands down the best investment you can make in your kiln!

The relay is what controls the power cycling of the elements in the kiln and they need to be able to withstand a ton of power as they do so. The solid state relays are incredibly efficient compared to the standard mechanical relays and are able to operate at much faster speeds.
