Technical Overview

Eterra 7 Ft. Sickle Bar Mower for Excavator The Eterra 7 ft. sickle bar mower for excavators is the mid-length bar in the range and the one most mid-size carriers end up running. Two extra feet over the 5 ft. is roughly 40% more cut per pass, which changes the economics on ditch and right-of-way contracts without demanding the carrier size a 9 ft. bar does. Rated for 8–20 GPM , with a choice of flow configurations. Available from Skid Steer Store . Why Mow From an Excavator Boom Reach over, not drive through — cut ditch bottoms, banks and shorelines from stable ground. Angle the bar to the slope — boom articulation follows terrain a direct-mount mower cannot. Almost no thrown material — safe alongside live traffic and property. Quiet — a real advantage on residential and municipal contracts. Cuts wet and aquatic growth — reeds and cattails that would clog a flail. Choosing Your Bar Length Model Width Trade-off 5 Ft. 5 ft. Lightest and cheapest; least coverage 7 Ft. 7 ft. Best balance of coverage and carrier demand 9 Ft. Razor 9 ft. Most coverage; needs the largest carrier Flow Configurations Option Suits 13–17 GPM Excavators in the lower half of the flow range 18–30 GPM Higher-flow carriers Order the configuration bracketing your excavator's rated auxiliary flow. Running below the range costs cutting speed; running above shortens motor life. Specifications Specification 7 Ft. Excavator Sickle Bar Cutting Width 7 ft.
