This is a high-temperature kiln purpose-built for melting cullet-ideal for hot glass artists who need multiple color pots ready for gathering without running a full furnace. With a maximum temperature of 2300°F and a working range up to 2150°F , it delivers consistent performance for roll-ups, small glass pours, and other molten glasswork. Equipped with three thin-wall crucibles , this kiln lets you melt and manage multiple glass colors simultaneously, offering flexibility for creative production. A fiber baffle improves heat retention, while solid-state relays (SSRs) come standard, ensuring smooth, quiet, and reliable temperature control with extended relay life. The Crucible 11 includes the dependable Orton AF3P 3-Button Controller for straightforward firing, but you can also upgrade to more advanced control systems for enhanced precision: - Orton AutoFire 4000 12-Key Controller - greater program capacity and control - Orton AutoFire Slide Touchscreen Controller - modern interface and responsive programming - TAP II Touchscreen Smart Controller - Wi-Fi connectivity, cloud storage, and real-time firing data A small furniture kit is included for stability and workspace support, featuring a 10" shelf, three 1" posts, kiln wash, and three bricks. Caustic fumes from batch materials can rapidly degrade thermocouples and firebrick. Element coils typically last 3-6 months in crucible kilns and are not covered under warranty.
